Loyola Law School was founded in 1920 in Los Angeles, California. It belongs to the private Jesuit Loyola Marymount University, which is located in Westchester. Loyola Law School students are the most diverse in California. Its law library is among the largest in the western United States, and its moot court and trial advocacy program are considered among the best in California. Further, it was the first California law school to require that students complete a 40-hour pro bono program before graduating.

Day and evening classes are offered at Loyola Law School for the Juris Doctor (JD) program. Other programs at Loyola are: Juris Doctor/Master of Business Administration (JD/MBA); Master of Laws in American Law and International Legal Practice (International LLM); Master of Laws (LLM) in Taxation. Students in the JD program can enroll in study-abroad programs in China, Costa Rica, or Italy. Italy is also the location for the International LLM program.
