New York Law School is a private law school that was founded in 1891 in Manhattan. This school offers full-time, part-time day, and part-time evening schedules for the Juris Doctor (JD) program. In addition, it offers joint degree programs with other learning institutions. These include a Juris Doctor/Bachelor of Arts of Bachelor of Science (JD/BA-BS) with Stevens Institute of Technology, Adelphi University or New England College; a Juris Doctor/Master of Business Administration (JD/MBA) with Baruch College of the City University of New York.

In 2003, New York Law School also started the Master of Laws (LLM) in Taxation program. Only one other law school in the city offers this degree. Expanding this program, New York Law School also offers a joint Juris Doctor/Master of Laws (JD/LLM) in Taxation degree.

New York Law School also offers various specialized centers including the: Justice Action Center; Center for Professional Values and Practice; Center for Real Estate Studies; Institute for Information Law and Policy; Business Law and Policy; Center for New York City Law; Center for International Law.
